Scientists think a type of genetically modified mosquito could help stop the march of Zika virus, a disease that's spreading in 37 countries and territories around the world. The Aedes aegypti mosquito is the primary vector for Zika virus, and making genetic tweaks to the population could one day either stop the mosquitoes from reproducing or prevent them from carrying diseases that threaten human beings. Leave it to scientist who want to manipulate nature to combat ZIKA, not knowing that they will more then likely create a mosquito with super ZIKA or maybe even something worse. Normal everyday people know when you screw with nature it only fights back. Scientist alone created the mosquito though genetic manipulation, what makes them think that the next bug won't be worse? Or did ZIKA not spread quickly enough, and they just want another bug that spreads the virus quicker? Remember for them to fight ZIKA they have to inject the new bug with the ZIKA virus itself, so i'm guessing we will just have ZIKA times two. Anything that is genetically modified as we all know always ends up being not just bad for humans, but also tends to destroy the ecosystem.
