An Ohio police officer was hospitalized after taking a bite of his sandwich and finding glass shards in between the bun.The Columbus Police Department reports that officer Quoc Nguyen found the glass in a sandwich he purchased from Lincoln Cafe about 2:40 p.m. on Monday. Officer Nguyen was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and was later released and is recovering, the department said. The department was not prepared to say the glass was put into the officer’s food on purpose. However, the Columbus Public Health department said they plan to investigate the restaurant to determine what happened. Charges have not been filed as of yet, but the investigation will continue. The fact that they say the glass wasn't put in the food on purpose shocks me, because glass just doesn't magically appear in peoples food when they're at a restaurant. The war on police officers across America just isn't in the streets, police now have to watch out for their safety when they are doing the simple task of grabbing a bite to eat on the job. You have to be an absolute sick form of human to put glass in anyone's food in the first place. The Columbus police need to find out who did this and drop felony charges on whoever put it in this cops food, because foreign objects such as glass in food can make you suffocate and die. To all police officers going out to eat on the job, I highly recommend you inspect all your food when on the job.
