Donald Trump on Monday night said that as president, he’d be open to asking Congress for a declaration of war to fight terrorist groups such as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). “It wouldn’t bother me at all doing that, we probably should have done that in the first place” the presumptive GOP nominee said Monday night in an interview on Fox News’s “The O’Reilly Factor.”“This is a war against people that are vicious, violent people that we have no idea who they are or where they come from,” Trump added. “We’re allowing tens of thousands of them into our country now, so on top of wars on foreign land, wait until you see what happens in the future. It’s probably not going to be pretty.” Trump has taken a hardline stance against fighting terrorism and combating the threat of ISIS. In a March interview with The New York Times, Trump said he wants to destroy oil fields in the Middle East because they're a primary source of money for ISIS. This might be the best news of the Trump Presidential campaign. Finally a presidential candidate that will only go to war on a congressional Constitutional Declaration of War, even if those enemies are groups like ISIS. To mention he would be willing to issue a declaration of war through congress, would mean that our military would have a plan for war and a path to victory. After mentioning he will use this Constitutional power unlike Bush and Obama, this man now needs Rand Paul as his vice president. Every member of the US military should now support this man, because a Declaration of War would mean no more never ending wars. For going to war with a declaration of war means we have a plan to end the war, and not twiddle our trigger fingers for 15 years with no path to victory. Get ready for the warhawks to smear Trump.
