Two volunteer firefighters in Virginia have been suspended for rushing an 18-month-old girl to a nearby hospital during a medical emergency in their fire engine because it did not have the proper equipment or medications, according to a report.Captain James Kelley and Sergeant Virgil Bloom, both with the Falmouth Volunteer Fire Department in Fredericksburg, Virginia, said they were the first emergency team to arrive on the scene near a McDonald's restaurant on February 27, according to WTTG. So sad that somebody who is clinging to death, that a firefighter team transporting the kid to safety would only get in trouble for it. It seems the city of Fredericksburg, VA is more worried about law suits then the heroes they have in their fire department. To me they had the proper equipment to rush the child to the hospital, they had sirens and a transport system. Bet anything the people who suspended these firefighters would of freaked out in this situation if they came across a little child clinging to life or death. It just seems that city officials in cities across America seem to be at war with our safety personnel and police officers for some reason anymore.
