The murder count in Chicago reached 700 this week. It’s the first time since 1998 that the city has seen such high numbers. Joseph Anderson, a black man who died with a gunshot wound to the face, is at least Chicago’s 700th homicide victim for 2016. Jovan Wilson, 15-year-old grandson of U.S. Rep. Danny Davis, was also one of the victims. He was shot during a home invasion and an argument over gym shoes Friday. Homicide rates in Chicago have skyrocketed in 2016. The last time the city experienced such high murder rates was in 1998, which saw 703 homicides. The city started 2016 with 51 homicides and 272 gunshot victims in January. The number of homicides in January doubled in two years. January 2014 had 20 homicides, while January 2015 had 29 murders. Hey Chicago how's that gun control working out for you, because it seems like it has turned into an epic fail. This is one of the major problems with Democrats and the push for gun control, because all you have to do is look at the city of Chicago on a once a week basis to know that the city of Chicago is nothing less than a war zone. The sad thing about Chicago, it once use to stand out as one of Americas greatest cites to people around the world...But now the city resembles a place that's worst than Afghanistan. It's almost as if the new Batman movies predicted the fall of Chicago, since in the new modern Batman movies they use Chicago as the city of Gotham...However the people of Chicago have help coming it's way through Donald Trump. Hopefully when Donald Trump becomes President on January, 20th, hopefully he tells the citizens of Chicago gun rights are back and law and order is coming to the city of Chicago. However that will be difficult since the city of Chicago has the nations most horrible mayor, and if the once great city of Chicago falls...America will have two Detroit's on it's hands. So let's hope Trump being our new President turns this city around before it eventually destroys itself.
