The State Department’s entire senior level of management officials resigned Wednesday, The Washington Post reported. Patrick Kennedy, the agency’s undersecretary for management who had served in the role for nine years, resigned unexpectedly along with three of his top officials Assistant Secretary of State for Administration Joyce Anne Barr, Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Michele Bond and Ambassador Gentry O. Smith, director of the Office of Foreign Missions, resigned as well, the report said. It is not clear whether the officials were forced out by the incoming Trump administration, but the changes shook up Washington — where Trump's approach to the foreign service had already raised eyebrows.“It’s the single biggest simultaneous departure of institutional memory that anyone can remember, and that’s incredibly difficult to replicate,” David Wade, who served as State Department chief of staff under Secretary of State John Kerry, told The Post. Why is the senior staff at the State Department running away from the President Trump administration? Could this move by all senior staff at the State Department show America, that these people are fleeing the country or on the run...I mean why would all of them resign suddenly? They are stating that this is the most strange move by State Department staff in recent history, just that fact alone it really does state something...Because for some reason senior officials are draining themselves out of the State Department just days after Trump became our new President. Now the media will twist this into a story, where Trump is the whole reason why senior staff have suddenly resigned from the State Department...However this is a very strange move and something smells fishy, because they are likely afraid at what the Trump administration might find out inside the State Department.
