Federal law enforcement is tracking almost 800 cases related to the Islamic State inside the US, according to FBI Director James Comey, who added that interest in the terrorist group is dwindling among potentially radicalized Americans.There are currently about 1,000 cases open into potentially radicalized individuals living in the US, Comey told reporters on Wednesday, according to ABC News. Out of these cases, roughly 80 percent of them are related to the Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS/ISIL). Notably, Comey said the number of Americans leaving the country to join IS has dropped since August 2015, adding that there is “no doubt” the group is not as influential as it once was, the Associated Press reported. About one American a month leaves – or tries to leave – the country to join the militants. There were about six attempted departures prior to August last year. "I think the ISIL brand has lost significant power in the United States, "Comey said, as quoted by Reuters. 800 ISIS cases existing in the United States without arrest is one to many Mr. Comey. 800 cases of ISIS terrorist inside America seems like they have significant influence in America. Almost can't fathom how you say ISIS has lost significant power in the United States, when you are monitoring a large amount of possible ISIS activity on home soil. With this revelation if you are living inside of America in a city with a population over 100,000, there is probably a good chance that you have drove pass or walked near an ISIS supporter or fighter inside of America's borders. Monitoring possible ISIS fighters and supporters in America without arrest, means you are making it easier for them to carry out plots on the American people each passing day without an arrest. Our Federal Bureau of Investigation is showing us that they prefer to investigate then take down people in America, who have possibly put attacks into play by monitoring situations instead of ending the problem and making arrest of ISIS in America.
