Washington Examiner Reports: A federal grand jury in Atlanta handed down a 38-count indictment against Georgia’s insurance commissioner. Jim Beck was indicted on charges of wire fraud, mail fraud, and money laundering. The indictment alleges that he was involved in insurance-related schemes. The indictment says that the schemes earned Beck millions, some of which the Republican used to help win election as insurance commissioner in November. The alleged crimes date back to 2013, when Beck was the general manager of operations for the Georgia Underwriting Association. From 2013 to 2018, Beck reportedly earned more than $2 million from the schemes through the association.
