The new head of D.C.’s biggest drug lobby has a strategy to help overcome a tortuous year of bad publicity on pricing: More lab coats on Capitol Hill. Steve Ubl, president and CEO of the Pharmaceutical Researcher and Manufacturers Association (PhRMA), plans to deploy top scientists and researchers to meet with lawmakers in a potentially make-or-break year for the industry. Oh great just what we need more big pharma lobbyist in Washington DC. As if we weren't the most drug up country on the planet already. More then 50 percent of Americans depend on pharmaceuticals just to get by about their day. Some of the blame could go to drug commercials constantly advertising on television, which usually make up for 25 percent of the commercials we see on television in America. Doesn't the mainstream media push pills down our throat enough already? The FDA and pharmaceutical industry is basically Americas drug cartel. Since the FDA is one of the biggest players in Washington DC with lobbyist. We will probably never see an end of the legal drug use problem in America for years to come, since they wanna add more lobbyist for the drug industry in Washington now it seems. As the lobbyist for drug companies is likely to increase with this strategy, so is the legal drug abuse by Americans. So get ready for more side effects of an already horrible problem that is continuing in America, that will only likely increase over time.
