The fact that he intentionally leaked it to a friend of his from Columbia Law School who leaked it to a reporter, this is the former FBI director, this should tell us how serious James Comey, how serious trouble James Comey is going to be in when this is done. He will end of being the target of this investigation." Jay Sekulow on his belief James Comey could be investigated for leaking the memo on his conversation with President Trump
Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice told Brian Kilmeade James Comey testifying he leaked a memo he took on his meeting with President Trump opens the door for serious legal trouble for the former FBI director and may wind up being the target of an investigation for his actions.
Comey might of royally screwed himself by implicating himself in leaking his memo article to New York Times in May after Trump fired him, and since the memo involves an investigation Comey could be in violation of the Espionage Act. Any leak to the media that involves the Federal Government without giving it to Senators is actually a crime per the Espionage Act, and since Comey's leak came during an investigation James Comey could face twenty years in prison.
Now there have been reports this week about a deal with Trump to criminally convict Hillary Clinton due to her private email server, so James Comey telling the truth regarding Loretta Lynch's obstruction of justice by telling Comey to not call the Hillary probe an investigation...Might save Comey from prosecution if he gives up Hillary Clinton. The fact is Comey admitting his leaking to the press is still in violation of the Espionage Act...So either Comey should be prosecuted or work out a deal with Trump to prosecute Hillary Clinton.
