Saying that once the battle with the terrorist group is concluded, which according to the US official is "going quite well," Washington plans to turn its attention "to achieving ceasefire agreements between the regime and opposition forces."
Bringing the parties to the table for political discussions "clearly requires the participation of the regime and the support of their allies," Tillerson said in another Sunday interview to the American media, speaking to John Dickerson on CBS's "Face the Nation."
Once a ceasefire becomes a reality in Syria, "we will have the conditions to begin a useful political process," he said.
"It is through that political process that we believe the Syrian people will ultimately be able to decide the fate of Bashar Assad," he told ABC.
It literally sounds like the Trump administration is trying to cause a massive heart attack to the mainstream media and Washington war mongers, because no one has an idea of what is going on considering Syria. With Tillerson once again stating that it's up to the Syrian people to decide the fate of Assad, it now sounds like this is official that President Trump is not looking to replace Assad in Syria...He's simply trying to keep people guessing. With Tillerson now coming back out stating that Assad's future is up to the Syrian people...I bet all of us including myself can't wait to see the next words to come out of the mouth of McCain. Hell maybe Tillerson changing his view back to Syrian's deciding the fate of Assad...Maybe we'll see Senators and Congressman like McCain going into a horrible mental breakdown...Which would be a joy to see.
