First of all concerning the Turkish coup attempts, is that there have been five attempts at military coups of the Turkish government. These coups all started when the Turkish military thought that the nation was leading down the road of religious demise. The years of these coups before today's coup in Ankara came in the years of 1960, 1971, 1980, 1993, and 1997. The 1997 military coup led to what is now the Erdogan administration. If it's one thing that all these military coups prove is that the nation of Turkey obviously doesn't know how to handle itself, and these tend to happen during a time where the Turkish government starts getting anti Constitutional an leaning towards a more Sharia Law type of atmosphere. Does this problem of an un-Constitutional government that leans towards one religion sound familiar? This sounds like something that is currently going on in our Federal government today. That's besides the point though. Now myself I would believe that this military coup would of been dirty if the Turkish military coup started opening their guns up on citizens but they didn't. What I firmly believe what this coup was, was an attempt to take Erdogan out of power and to prevent Gulen from coming to power in new elections. I personally believe this was the military being fed up with Erdogan leading Turkey to an Islamic state, because as you know history is that it repeats itself and every time a military coup in Turkey occurs...It's always when the military sees it's government going down a religious type of law path. We have seen in the last year, Turkey supporting ISIS, Turkey shooting planes out the sky, multiple terror attacks, Turkey enforcing curfews on the Kurdish minority, and Erdogan's police force and military slaughtering citizens. I believe this was a coup to put a stop to that. As of right now Erdogan is slaughtering military members involved in this coup, guess he doesn't want them to talk? We should all believe this was a failed military coup trying to get back to it's Constitution and it got halted in it's tracks, and I believe neither Gulen or Erdogan had any involvement in this coup attempt. Personally I believe this was a military who became fed up with it's government. Turkey has been crushed by it's political powers inside and out in the last year, and I believe the Turkish military was trying to take the nation back from destruction.
